Your first visit will last between an hour and an hour and a half. This allows for time to perform the evaluation to determine the cause of pain and begin treating the pain as well as educate on a home exercise program. Also, don't forget your drivers license and insurance card on your first day!

We typically do treatment on the first day. Therefore, wear something comfortable such as athletic wear or stretchy clothes and closed-toed shoes with a backing.

All insurances are different. Some insurances pay 100% with no co-pay. However, many require a co-pay or co-insurance. We will call your insurance to verify benefits and you will know if/how much you have to pay per visit before agreeing to be treated. 

Arkansas has direct access for physical therapy. That means, with commercial insurance, you do not need a script from the doctor. HOWEVER, if you have Medicare or a Medicare replacement insurance, your plan of care WILL need to be signed by the doctor. If you have a primary care physician and have commercial insurance, we still usually send a script to them so they are up to date on your health and treatment.

At evaluation a plan of care and length of treatment will be set by the therapist based upon your deficits and your goals. It can vary from 3 weeks for simpler ailments to 3-6 months for some post-operative treatments. All plans of care are unique based upon patient need!

Are you post-operation? If so, then you will have some pain. However, in general, our goal is to get your joints moving and functioning properly without recreating or exacerbating your pain. Muscle soreness can be common after treatment due to using muscles in different ways then you may be used to.
